"Fine Art and Figure Nudes" - Workshop Content and Itinerary

"Fine Art and Figure Nudes" will present introductory to intermediate studio lighting techniques for artistic and figure nude photography. The workshop will focus on line and form, bodyscape, and classical figure study elements in a range of black and white and color tonalities.

Course Topics:

**Stylistic elements of the fine art/figure nude, as compared to portrait and glamour photography
**Lighting techniques to accent line and form and to flatter the physical features of the model
**High-key and Low-key styles and lighting techniques
**Compositional elements of full body poses as well as abstract and "bodyscape" styles
**Techniques for creating and applying "shadow crafting" as a facet of artistic composition

All participating photographers will have group and individual shooting opportunities to direct and compose images with the workshop's Featured Model.

Promotional model releases will be available for all participants for non-commercial use of images shot during the workshop.


Outline of Workshop Schedule (approximate times):

10:00am-10:30am: Arrival of attendees; meet & greet w/ instructor, MUA, and model; portfolio/sample image review
10:30am-1:00pm: Lighting techniques demonstrated, and group shooting opportunities with model on set
1:00pm-1:30pm: Lunch (provided for participants)
1:30pm-6:30pm: Continuation of lighting techniques, additional group shooting, and individual shooting opportunities
6:30pm-7:00pm: Equipment pack-up, final discussion, and signing of promotional model releases
