Median Yellow

Flowers in the median of Atlantic Avenue

Further studies in natural light and selective focus with shallow depth of field.

I was initially attracted by one of the big yellow blooms, and then noticed how appealing the long narrow "pods" also looked.

So there I was in the median of Atlantic Avenue, photographing the flowers in the midst of 5:30pm rush hour traffic, lost in concentration and trying not to jump every time I'd get honked at by one of the passing cars.
